R16 BRAKE VAN produced in the main range from 1953 to 1981.
From 1967 the body was mounted on a longer chassis and given R636 for one year before reverting to R16A and R16 once more.
The R number changed again when it was given a paint finish in 1980.
Produced in several colours, mostly maroon or grey and until 1957 carried NE (LNER) and in the first 18 months the running numbers were 16083, 129085, 129083, 748936. 138224 and 573684.

Produced from 1973 until 1979, it only carried the number 178595 and only in grey. In the catalogue as R114 until with the adding of silver seal wheels it became R215 in 1976.

R107 LMS BRAKE VAN 1974-1996
The R107 carried lighting 1973-1976 and from 1977 the lighting was removed and became R098 until a paint finish in 1980 gave it the R718 number. It was replaced in 1999, I have two variants, one with all handrails painted and another with the two outer handrails left un-painted.
