46245 City of London

.A look at the 46245 "City of London" from Hornby Dublo, first released in December 1959 and the first 2-rail locomotive in its class (more were produced under Wrenn later). We see the loco being serviced, running on the test track, followed by a "mainline" run with maroon coaches on the Harrow Park layout.

HORNBY RAILWAYS - BERNARD CRIBBINS 

In the late 1970s Bernard Cribbins featured in Hornby Railways promotions, where with clever photography Bernard was one inch tall on model railway layouts. Late 70s early 80s a floppy record was placed in every train set box. Often missing in collections today, even if collectors do have them, not everyone has a 33 rpm record player. So for those wishing to hear it, here it is.

The rest of the contents. When I had finished filming, I inspected the Class 37 motor bogie and when I touched the brass nut on the top, it sprang into life! Bad contact? Runs fine now.
